Here's the finished composition at last.

I've been able to be a little bit more patient with this one in terms of making a decision on whether it's finished or not.

Alot of the time in the past I've been rushing things and sticking them online when I really could have spent some more time on them.
Having said that, I really could have taken even longer with this one. Then again, there is such a thing as overkill and he is throwing bombs all over the place with a fleet of aircrafts above him. Maybe there is a limit of what you can portray in one picture. What else could there have been? spaceships, flying saucers? German world war two fighter planes(hey, that would have been cool!).

Maybe I could have added little characters hanging out of the window's firing semi-automatci machine guns at him!

Damn it!! maybe it wasn't finished! Then again, what about overkill?

On no, wait....what about vapour trails across the sky? That's it!! I'm away to lie down...............

Grow

This is the Ulcer in Philadelphia. God knows what the scenario is with this one.

I know exactly what it is actually. He has travelled to
Philadelphia to attend a pharmacutical conference intent on buying the
rights to these new growth hormone tablets that he intends to
distribute through Ulcer corps. The scientist that has created them has
refused to grant him the rights based on his own concerns that the drug
is not yet perfected and could have unpredictable results.

The ulcer is having none of this and instead decides to try and
steal the pills by shoving them all in his mouth. Unfortunately he
accidently swallows them all and grows to an enourmous size as a
result. Now he is making a run for it as security realises what he has
done.

Note the zen-like busker in the bottom right hand corner calmly observing the chaos as it unfolds.

This was the first screenprint I ever made. I'll probably screenprint an entire comic strip eventually. How's that for geekin' out?
I spend alot of time drawing "the Ulcer" over and over again. This is a page from my ulcer sketchbook where I've been practicing how quickly I can draw him. Some are better than other's but I'm getting better I think.
